This project was developed for the launch of SoundBlade — a soundbar by the Australian brand BlueAnt, created specifically for a computer monitor.
For this kind of product, we wanted to find a non-standard promo campaign format that would help BlueAnt stand out among the usual advertising for audio systems. In this category, communication is often built around power, sound clarity, and technical specifications. We decided to shift the focus from rational choice to an emotional connection with the product and took an experimental path: we created a complete short animated film in which SoundBlade is revealed through a small adventure.
At the center of the story is a lonely pixel living in the digital space of the screen. It is looking for someone to share the world with. SoundBlade appears next to the monitor; a sound wave is born from it and fills the room with glowing creatures. Together, they set off on a journey through this world. At some point, the pixel stops before the darkness. Then SoundBlade, with its powerful bass, lifts the light from the screen up to the disco ball, illuminating the room and opening the way forward for the hero.
This is how a story of friendship emerges, carrying the main idea of the promo campaign. The monitor and SoundBlade become inseparable companions.
One of the key elements of the film is the internal perspective of the product. The viewer finds themselves inside the audio system and sees the birth of the sound wave, which was created using CG simulation. The pixel itself is a 2D character created through frame-by-frame animation. The room where the story unfolds, along with the interior elements — furniture, objects in the space, and product packaging — were conceived and modeled from scratch.
As a result, the project became a touching animated film that communicates the value of the product while also shaping the brand’s visual language — a recognizable system of images that offers a new way to experience the space next to the screen.
