The assignment is to create a new logo for the Habitat for Humanity branch in Los Angeles, California. Since Habitat For Humanity brings people together to build homes, the logo must have a modern, contemporary look that fits with the mission of building homes of those in need or for those people affected by natural disasters. This advertisement, in particular, provides a 'positive spin' on the recent wildfires plagued Los Angeles for nearly two weeks in January, 2025. With so much ash and devastation, everyone in Southern California is overwhelmed by the reality that they may have lost their home or may know someone who has. The ad helps the thousands of people who lost their homes or businesses to try to get past 'the death' and try to image 'the future.' Everyone is Southern California and in the US are working to help those in need. Habitat For Humanity Los Angeles is one such company that is working to provide help, funds, and most of all - positivity - to "REIMAGINE YOUR DREAM" tagline. The main image showcases a classic, yet slightly modern white house with a waterfall floating high above and overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The water offers salvation and renewal and the sunrise in the background brings in an element of, "The skies have cleared; and IT'S A NEW DAY." With the efforts now on rebuilding, the designer created an original logo, "REBUILDING LA," to grab the viewers attention. The black circle and white lettering meant to be bold and eye-catching. The goal is to use the "REBUILDING LA" logo in advertisements, social media, merchandising, etc. The mission of Habitat For Humanity Los Angeles is shown: Bringing people together to build houses. Providing hope for all people.
