Established in 1919, Killiney Kopitiam is one of Singapore’s oldest and most iconic coffee shops. Named after Killiney Road, the brand reflects a legacy shaped by British colonial influence and local tradition. This mural design seeks to honour that heritage while spotlighting coffee as the heart of Killiney’s identity.
The concept blends nostalgic charm with a retro-inspired visual narrative, tracing the journey of the coffee bean from its origin to the final aromatic brew. It preserves the essence of the traditional kopitiam while appealing to contemporary sensibilities.
Designed to enrich the space, the mural invites interaction whether through brand storytelling, cultural ambiance, or visual engagement. It serves as both a backdrop and a conversation starter. Striking the right balance between timeless heritage and fresh, modern appeal was central to the creative approach.
